WEEKLY TOP ELECTRONIC CHARTS: NOVEMBER 2014, VOL. 133

10 Nov

November has been a month filled with steady success specifically in the deep house and tech house arenas. This week we see all new names to the charts, spread out literally across the globe. Juliet Sikora and Chemical Surf top the charts with a club themed anthem. Dosem drops some techno knowledge off his new album City Cuts.

1. Juliet Sikora, Chemical Surf – What’s That (Original Mix) (Kitball)

Since releasing their Walking Back EP on Kittball, Brazilian duo Chemical Surf have demonstrated their indisputable work ethic in the studio with appearances on the likes of Miami Underground Records, Sprinkler, Lust Be and Erase Records. Collaborating with them is Juliet Sikora, Kittball co-founder and the heart and soul of the label. “Whats That” continues the theme of commanding low-ends, with a rumbling bass hook taking centre stage. This time the vocals have been left intact adding a sing along factor to a dancefloor commanding piece of four-to-the-flour house.

WEEKLY TOP ELECTRONIC CHARTS: NOVEMBER 2014, VOL. 132

5 Nov

We everyone is having a great start to the holiday season and welcoming in the month of November.  The selection on this chart is heavy on the deep house. Anjunadeep has two great tracks from their artists Eli & Fur and Meramek. “Parachute” by Otto Knows, which has been tearing up the charts, makes its debut on EDM Charts thanks to a slick remix by CamelPhat. Don’t forget to subscribe to our SoundCloud to stay up to date with our weekly mixes of the charts, pieced together by resident DJ Royski.

1. Eli & Fur – Feel The Fire (Original Mix) (Anjunadeep)

Eli & Fur, aka Eli Noble and Jennifer Skillman, have been making a name for themselves on the London DJ circuit of late, and putting out a string of fresh and exciting singles, including “Seeing Is Believing”, their excellent collaboration with Shadow Child. “Feel The Fire” is a tougher, harder-edged take on their typically melodic sound, and works wonders with their ethereal vocals. A memorable moment from Anjunadeep 06, the energetic original mix has been a mainstay in James Grant and Jody Wisternoff’s DJ sets this year.

Rating: ★★★★★
